The Price tag is high and everyone is kind of assuming a #1 pick is included....however...I am starting to hear that the Wings are asking for goalie Ilya Samsonov, a very BIG goalie prospect that the Caps have in their system, with Holtby still in his prime for what would look like several years...

This deal would HAVE to include more from Detroit because the Caps are looking at a rental in Green and I am not sure if they will be bringing him back in...

yeah we know the winter sucks sometimes, but people stay for the property values and the food and the schools. Lots of Sabres alum have decided to stay or return to or maintain a place in the area.

I have always felt that St Louis and Buffalo are the two NHL cities that hold a huge attraction for players who want to put down roots and those who are from either inevitably want to raise their families there...

The Islanders really amaze me. They have no issues scoring. While their defense isn’t stellar, their goaltending is the glaring issue IMO.

Buffalo sucks. St. Catharine's is nice though.

It is very much the exact opposite. The goaltending is OK, usually Jaro puts in a pretty solid night's work (he's getting peppered with 40+ shots on a nightly basis) but the defense is an absolute continent-spanning tire fire. 2/3 of their defense is absolutely putrid (would be half, if de Haan didn't go down for the year). The idiotic coaching staff doesn't help either.
